Management changes at Gold Fields KR and Talas Copper Gold
Gold Fields Limited (Gold Fields) (JSE, NYSE, NASDAQ Dubai: GFI) has announced the appointment of Dr David Grant as General Director of Gold Fields KR LLC and General Manager of Talas Copper Gold LLC.
Gold Fields KR is a subsidiary company of Gold Fields Ltd, one of the world’s largest producers of gold. Gold Fields’ extensive and diverse global growth pipeline includes the Talas Copper Gold joint venture in the Kyrgyz Republic. Talas Copper Gold LLC is a mining exploration joint venture between Gold Fields and Orsu Metals Corporation, with Gold Fields as managing partner. Exploration is focused on the Talas region in four license areas: Taldybulak, Barkol, Kentash, and Korgontash.
Dr Grant has worked in the Kyrgyz Republic for more than 10 years in a wide range of development projects funded by the World Bank, European Union, EBRD and by the UK, German and Swiss governments. His previous project management experience covered work in Europe, Central Asia, East and SE Asia.
