Newspaper for Central Asian migrants published in St. Petersburg
The first edition of the Turan newspaper has been published in St. Petersburg, Itar Tass reports.
Dedicated to assist labor migrants from Central Asia’s countries working in St. Petersburg, the newspaper will be published in three languages: Russian, Tajik and Uzbek.
Turan is expected to regularly publish news from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The newspaper will have lawyer’s column and hotline to make available various legal consultations to labor migrants. Besides, it will also publish Russian-Uzbek phrasebook.
Turan will also have the “Acquaintance with St. Petersburg” heading that will contain materials about history, culture and traditions of Russia’s Northern Capital.
The newspaper will be distributed free of charge at construction sites and shopping streets in the city, Itar Tass reports.
