World Bank Vice-President for the Europe and Central Asia to visit Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 11 / Kabar /. World Bank Vice-President for the Europe and Central Asia Philippe Le Houérou will visit Kyrgyzstan on May 14. The World Bank Office in the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The visit of Philippe Le Houerou will last till May 17. During his four-day visit to Kyrgyzstan, he will meet with President Almazbek Atambaev, Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov, members of the Government of Kyrgyzstan as well as members of the Parliament, the diplomatic community and the private sector.

In the upcoming Central Asian tour Philippe Le Houerou the main attention will be focused on existing in Kyrgyzstan, financial, economic and social trends and challenges, reforms in state governance and combating corruption as well as the current close cooperation between the KR and WB. He will also visit the World Bank-financed agricultural projects in Bishkek and the Chui valley in order to discuss progress and meet with beneficiaries of projects.
