Turkish Parliament ratified the agreement on writing off Kyrgyzstan’s debt in the amount of $ 51 mln
Bishkek, June 7 / Kabar /. The Turkish Parliament ratified the agreement to write off Kyrgyzstan's external debt of $ 51 million. Turkish President Abdullah Gul told during a meeting with Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov.
According to the Department of Information Policy of the Government of the KR, the meeting of the Kyrgyz Prime Minister and the President of Turkey was held in the framework of O. Babanov’s participation in the World Economic Forum in Istanbul.
The Turkish President said that the agreement to write off Kyrgyzstan's external debt of $ 51 million has been already ratified by parliament and he intends to sign the document on his arrival in Ankara. He also noted that delegation of experts will be directed to Kyrgyzstan to discuss the opening in Kyrgyzstan the branch of the State Bank of Turkey.
The sides also agreed to intensify activities of TIKA (Turkish Office of Cooperation and Coordination) in Kyrgyzstan and expand cooperation in the field of hydropower and air communication.
