Energy Minister: “Refinery in Kara-Balta will provide about 600 people with jobs”

Bishkek, June 8 / Kabar /. After putting into operation oil refinery in Kara-Balta about 600 new jobs will appear. Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Askarbek Shadiev said today at a meeting of Ata-Jurt deputy faction. 

According to his words, at present 600 specialists from China work at the plant. "Local population is also involved amounting of 300 people. It is expected to involve more 400 people from China, after receiving additional equipment from China", said A. Shadiev.

Construction of the refinery in the south-eastern outskirts of the town of Kara-Balta, in Chui oblast has begun in September 2009 by China Petrol Company and Junda involving Chinese investment in the amount of $ 250 million.
