According to the information of the press service of the CCI, commander of the Transit Center Col. Corey Martin told that the Centre is interested and cooperates with Kyrgyz suppliers. He said that one of the missions of the Center is to assist economic development of Kyrgyzstan. "In 2011, the TSM has made payments of $ 150 million, 60 million out of them for rent, the rest for infrastructure improvements of Manas airport, contracts with local contractors and payment of salaries of employees. For this year payment of the Center made about $ 92 million", said the colonel.
After the conversation members of the Chamber of Commerce made a tour on the territory of the TSM. Guests were taken to the runway and attended board of the plane "C-17", which transports troops to hot spots. They also get acquaninted with conditions, of how soldiers and airmen have a rest.
