Death toll from Kyrgyzstan unrest reaches 261
KABAR, June 25. The death toll from the mass unrest in the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions in southern Kyrgyzstan has increased to 261.
"An updated report, provided by the Health Ministry, indicates that 261 people were killed in the riots in southern Kyrgyzstan," the ministry told on Thursday.
Overall, 2,231 people applied for medical aid in the Osh and Jalal- Abad regions and nearly half of them were hospitalized, the ministry said.
