Two cases of rabies in animals registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2011

March 23 /Kabar/. Two cases of rabies in animals registered in Kyrgyzstan since
the beginning of the 2011. The press service of the Ministry of Health Care
reports.
According to the information of the Ministry, the incidence of rabies among humans is not registered. According to data of the National Center for Quarantine and Especially Dangerous Infections, 2 cases of rabies, in Suluktu town of Batken oblast and in Naryn oblast.
All contact persons on suspicion of infection (6 people from Suluktu town and 3 persons from Naryn region), receive the necessary medical aid.
Currently, all regions of the country are provided with rabies medication in the required amount.
