Great Britain and Norway will grant $ 500 thousand to improve quality of medical services in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 11 / Kabar /. Great Britain and Norway will allocate a grant of 500 thousand to improve the quality of medical services in Kyrgyzstan. Stats secretary of the Health Ministry Paiza Suyumbaeva told at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh for International Affairs.

She said that the grant is allocated within the framework of the WB results-oriented funded project from grants of the Trust Fund. "This project is designed for 3 years. But before that, a pilot project will be implemented during 6 months. For these purposes the Chui Territorial Hospital is chosen. 15% of grant funds will be used to award the best employees of the hospital, 40% - for repairs works of the hospital’s building, 5% - for training, the remaining funds will be spent for needs of the hospital. If good results are obtained, the project will be extended for another three years", said P. Suyumbaeva. 

"This project was developed five years ago, but due to various events in the country, its implementation has been suspended", added the stats secretary of the Health Ministry.
