The detainee MP took radical measures of hunger strike, the Ombudsman Office
Bishkek, June 25 / Kabar /. The detainee Member of Parliament Nariman Tuleyev took radical measures of hunger strike refusing to drink even water, the press service of the Office of the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Today employees of the Ombudsmen Office visited detention center, where the MP is keeping and talked with the detainee deputy N. Tuleyev.
N. Tuleyev told that he was arrested on June 23, 2012 at 19:30 by National Security Committee officers and was placed in police detention center in Bishkek for 48 hours.
He said that in protest he declared a hunger strike and today went on radical measures event not drinking water. N. Tuleyev complained to his health declining, because he has a cancer and was planning a treatment.
Today, on June 25 at 19:30 expires his detention time and the court must determine the measure of restraint, the Ombudsman Office reports.
During the conversation N. Tuleyev asked to give a press conference, because he was detained unreasonably, in this connection he had asked the staff of the Ombudsman to take part in the trial.
Allegedly N. Tuleyev has strong evidences and arguments for all the charges against him. He has not received any written notification on the initiated criminal cases and invited for questioning, the MP said.
