R.Otunbaeva meets with editor-in-chiefs of Kyrgyzstan’s newspapers
KABAR, June 8. Head of Kyrgyzstan’s interim government Roza Otunbaeva received today editor-in-chiefs of public and political newspapers: Kyrgyz Tuusu – Bakyt Orunbekov, Slovo Kyrgyzstana – Tamara Slasheva and Erkintoo – Abduhaba Monieva.
During the meeting it was exchanged opinions on situation in the country, particularly with freedom of word, mass media’s influence on occurring events, on actual issues and perspectives of mass media development.
R.Otunbaeva pointed the mass media’s role in forming public opinion: “The objectivity and openness in covering the events are key criteria of professional journalists”, - she emphasized.
R.Otunbaeva’s interview will be published on Friday issues of the above-mentioned newspapers.
