 Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discussed development of relations in trade and economic sphere

Bishkek, February 22 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov met in Astana with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Masimov. 

During the negotiations in the expanded format, the sides discussed state and prospects of Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations in trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The Kazakh PM noted that the relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and certain agreements which were achieved earlier and will be achieved in the future will benefit the two nations.

During the first 11 months of 2011 the volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to more than 669 million U.S. dollars.

More than 400 joint ventures with Kazakh capital work in Kyrgyzstan in such sectors as power generation, gas transportation, industry, construction materials, banking, etc. In Kazakhstan more than 250 companies work with Kyrgyz capital in trade, tourism, construction and transport.
