British State Minister of the Armed Forces held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, March 2 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova met with the State Minister of the Armed Forces of Great Britain Nick Harvey, who arrived in the republic in frames of his tour to Central Asia. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Defense Ministry, Foreign Ministry and the recently opened British Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting D. Kemelova briefed about the current socio-political and socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, the main tasks of the Parliament and the Government of the KR on providing political stability and economic development of the country.
In addition, during the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral co-operation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the UK. They also discussed international and regional security, in particular, the situation in Afghanistan.
