Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and IMF mission discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation
Bishkek, March 13 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov met with International Monetary Fund mission, headed by Deputy Head of the Department for Middle East and Central Asia Christian Beddis.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kyrgyzstan Joomart Otorbayev, IMF Resident Representative in the KR Koba Gvenetadze.
The Prime Minister noted the fruitful collaboration of the Government of the KR and the IMF mission. He also stressed that the Kyrgyz Government intends to fulfill its obligations under the Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policy for 2011-2014 and hopes that on the results of the work of the mission a positive second survey will be given on implementation of the agreements by Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, the head of the IMF Mission Christian Beddis confirmed the interest of the IMF in future active cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
"We are pleased that the Government of Kyrgyzstan is actively working on implementation of economic reforms. We believe that the activities of our mission has been productive, we have been able to find a consensus solution on all discussed issues", he stressed.
The sides also discussed prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the IMF.
