Kyrgyz police offers remuneration for Bakiyev’s whereabouts
KABAR, June 9. In Kyrgyzstan, the law enforcement agencies have offered remuneration for the whereabouts of the former President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, his family and members of his inner circle.
The republic’s Interior Ministry says that 36 Bakiyev-related people are currently on the wanted list. The Kyrgyz Government is prepared to pay 100,000 dollars for a tip-off on Bakiyev, his brothers, his sons, and a number of high-ranking functionaries and financial advisers.
Earlier the Kyrgyz interim Government, which came to power following mass-scale unrest in the Central Asian republic in April this year, put Bakiyev and his family members on the Interpol “wanted” list.
