Representatives from Kyrgyzstan will go to Syria as military observers

Bishkek, May 4 / Kabar /. Eight representatives from Kyrgyzstan will go to Syria as military observers in May. Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the UN in New York Taalai Kydyrov told journalists today.

He said that recently UN General Assembly adopted a resolution to direct peacekeeping forces to Syria. "Russia, Morocco and other countries have already sent 300 observers. We plan to send 8 people in mid-May from Kyrgyzstan", said T. Kydyrov.

He noted that though Kyrgyzstan is a small country, but pays much attention to active participation in peacekeeping activities. "Today, 25 peacekeepers from Kyrgyzstan are in Haiti, Sudan and other countries", said the Kyrgyz envoy to UN.
