Chief of the foreign policy department of the President’s Office Sapar Isakov told at a press conference in Bishkek on the results of official visit of President Almazbek Atambayev to Kazakhstan.
He noted that the visit of the President was concluded with the transition to a new strategic phase of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. "The parties have reached agreement on many issues, in particular, an agreement is signed between the two countries on the order of stay of citizens of two republics on the territories of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan within 90 days. This is very important for our country, for the Kyrgyz people", said S. Isakov.
He also added that Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan intend to increase the volume of trade and investment up to $ 1 billion. "We also solved the issue of resuming the work of checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border," he added.
