President of Kyrgyzstan met with Director General of Gold Fields Ltd
Bishkek, May 29 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev met today with Nicholas Holland, Director General of Gold Fields Ltd international mining company, one of the four largest companies - gold producers in the world.
According to the Department of Information Policy of the President’s Office, Kyrgyzstan is the only country in CIS, where Gold Fields Ltd operates. The Investor is currently conducting exploration work in Talas oblast.
During the meeting the sides discussed the company's investment projects and investment opportunities in the mining sector of the country.
"I am pleased that, despite the difficulties, you work hard. Your company is an example for other investors ", said A. Atambaev.
N. Holland stressed that the company is considering to expand its activities in Kyrgyzstan.
