Bishkek, June 13 / Kabar /. "We attach great importance to ideas of strengthening the unity of the Turkic-speaking states", said President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev during a meeting with Halil Akinci, Secretary General, Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States.
According to the information of the Department of Information Policy of the President’s Office of the KR, welcoming H. Akinci the Kyrgyz President noted that important events for the Turkic world will be held in Kyrgyzstan this year. Thus, the third session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries will be held in Bishkek on June 14-15 and summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries will be held in August.
"We attach great importance to the ideas of strengthening the unity of the Turkic-speaking states, preserving the historical heritage of Turkic people", President Atambaev said.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the Secretariat of Cooperation Council and the Kyrgyz side.
