Representatives of Kyrgyzstan and the U.S. discussed cooperation in the consular field
Bishkek, June 28 / Kabar /. On the initiative of the Kyrgyz side a meeting was held in the U.S. State Department on June 27, 2012 between Arslan Tokobaev, the Passport and Visa Division of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the KR and Ruslan Bekbolotov, consul of the Embassy of the KR in the U.S. and Canada with John Anderriner, the Director of the Department for Central Asia of the U.S. State Department and other employees on consular issues.
During the meeting the sides discussed cooperation in the consular field, including the need for enhancing cooperation in migration and consular spheres. The Kyrgyz side proposed to exchange experience by conducting trainings and internships, which was supported by the American side.
In addition, they discussed issues of liberalization of visa regime for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, traveling to the U.S. to study, to work and as tourists, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the KR reports.
