Iranian President: No Restriction in Development of Ties with Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, July 11 / Kabar /. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Kyrgyz Finance Minister Akylbek Japarov underlined that there is no restriction and limitation for the further expansion of the relations between Tehran and Bishkek. Fars News Agency reports.
resident Ahmadinejad said Iran and Kyrgyzstan are historical friends of each other upon culture and civilization, adding that there is no limitation on the way of developing relations between Tehran and Bishkek.
He stressed the necessity for eliminating possible obstacles in the way of expansion of mutual cooperation and said that Iranian and Kyrgyz ministers and officials should consider ways to facilitate investment of both countries businessmen.
Japarov, for his part, referred to signed agreements, said that exchange level between the two countries should reach one billion dollars in short term, and said that Iran is a big country with effective role in the region and world which can be an appropriate model for other nations.
Iran and Central Asia have in recent years accelerated their efforts to expand bilateral and regional cooperation in all the various fields.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in October voiced the Iranian lawmakers' full support for expanding relations and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, and said Tehran is prepared to assist Bishkek with economic and industrial development.
The speaker voiced pleasure in the two countries' expanding cooperation in various sectors, and said, "Iran's abundant possibilities and capabilities in the different industrial and technological fields have prepared a significant ground for the consolidation of the friendly relations between the two states."
He further reiterated Iran's readiness to aid Kyrgyzstan in advancing its economic and industrial development plans.
