Judith Margaret Fanwort: "The UK watches the progress of reforms in Kyrgyzstan closely"

Bishkek, July 18/ Kabar /. UK closely watches the progress of reforms in Kyrgyzstan. British Ambassador to the KR Judith Margaret Fanwort told today in Bishkek during a meeting with Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Djoomart Otorbaev.

"The British side closely watches the progress of reforms in Kyrgyzstan and welcomes the development of parliamentary democratic system in the country", the Ambassador said.

According to the information of the Department of Information Policy of the Government of the KR, during the meeting Dj. Otorbaev congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed hope that her activities will boost the Kyrgyz-British cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.

The Vice Prime Minister briefed about ongoing reforms in the country as part of the program of the Government "The stability and decent life". He also called for development of closer inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and Parliament of the UK. In addition, the sides stressed the importance of expanding the legal framework between countries to attract British investments in priority sectors of economy and business in Kyrgyzstan.

The sides confirmed their interest in further active cooperation between the countries.
