Minister Kazakbaev stressed the need to maintain dynamics of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the U.S.
Bishkek, July 23/ Kabar /. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev on July 19, 2012 met with Alice Wells, director of the Department for Russia and Eurasia, U.S. National Security Council.
Alice Wells told about high appraisal and importance for the Government of the United States bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, which serves as an example of democratic reforms throughout the region.
During the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, including the Kyrgyz-American cooperation in the field of security, corruption, international adoption, upcoming Kyrgyz-American bilateral consultations and others, the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the KR reports.
The sides also discussed the situation in Afghanistan, the outcome of the Tokyo Conference on Afghanistan and the promotion of initiatives on financial support of strategy for the transfer of responsibility for the security of Afghanistan to Afghan national security forces.
The Minister stressed the importance of U.S. support for Kyrgyzstan in the period before and especially after the events of 2010.
Alice Wells noted the readiness of the United States to continue to assist our country in all directions.
At the end of the meeting the Minister stressed the need to maintain dynamics of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.
