Kyrgyzstan will need the support the UN after withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan

Bishkek, July 27 / Kabar /. After the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan will need the support of the United Nations. President Almazbek Atambaev said during his visit to the UN House in Bishkek.

According to his words, in particular Kyrgyzstan expects support in reforming the security forces. The President added that it is necessary to intensify efforts in fighting illegal drug trafficking. "This is a big problem for us. Several years ago, was eliminated the Drug Control Agency. In 2010, the Agency has been restored. However, it did not develop properly. Recently we dismissed the leadership of the Agency. Now there is just one deputy and it is strange that volume of intercepted drugs have increased sharply", said the President.

"Kyrgyzstan is a transit country, but we will do our best to ensure that most of the drug does not pass through our republic", said A. Atambaev.
