Omurbek Babanov: "Regions of Kyrgyzstan should become an engine of economic development"
Bishkek, 20 / Kabar /. Regions of Kyrgyzstan should become an engine of economic development. Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov said today at the opening of meeting of the republican council of local self-governments in Bishkek.
He said that, the leadership of Kyrgyzstan pays special attention to development of regions. "More than half of the industry of the country is located in Chuy oblast. This is not right, we need to develop construction of industrial facilities in all areas and regions of the country in order to residents could stay in their native land", said O. Babanov.
He briefed the delegates on the key economic indicators, detailing the reforms undertaken by the Cabinet.
