The first electronic library in Kyrgyz language launched in Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, February 1 / Kabar /. Information program of Soros-Kyrgyzstan jointly with the Public Foundation "Bizdin Muras" successfully launched the first electronic library in Kyrgyz language. The project team digitized more than 100 books, totaling over 20 000 pages.
The press service of Soros-Kyrgyzstan reports that, in the electronic library there are books representing interest to students and researchers.
Fundamental works on the history of Kyrgyzstan of V. V. Bartold, N. Aristov, S. M. Abramzon, A. N. Bernshtam, L.N. Gumilev are published.
The electronic library www.bizdin.kg also published digital versions of the Manas epic and provides the full collection of digital versions of all the great epic trilogy. In the audio section one can find dozens of different fragments of narrations of Manas epic.
The library also includes the world literature. In the translated literature there are works of J. London, Goethe, Byron, Khayyam, Reed, etc. There is also a Russian-Kyrgyz phrase book, a collection of samples of documents in Kyrgyz and Russian languages, materials on Kyrgyz language for English speakers.
