Jazz Festival held in Bishkek
Bishkek, April 16 / Kabar /. Jazz Festival held in Bishkek April 13-15 at the Kyrgyz Philharmonic building.
This year the festival involved 14 musical teams from Austria, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
On the first day of the festival the Norwegian pianist and composer Jan Gunnar Hoff delighted spectators with glorious music.
Hoff has released 5 CDs and together with the group of Jan Gunnar Hoff Group toured with concerts all over Europe and took part in the biggest festivals in London, Mold, Bergen. In 2005 Hoff received the prestigious award named after Edvard Grieg as a composer.
In addition, the audience met with enthusiasm the Tajik singer Parvin Yusufi, known for playing in national instruments.
