Dance troupe from New York at Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre
Bishkek, April 26 / Kabar /. On April 27, the Sean Curran Company will present an exciting performance of modern ballet on stage at the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. This dance tour is made possible by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State’s DanceMotionUSA program, produced by Brooklyn Academy of Music. The goal of the program is studying, sharing, and exploring American modern dance by international audiences. The press service of the US Embassy in Bishkek reports.
The Sean Curran Company will perform three contemporary dances: Metal Garden, Hard Bargain, and Social Discourse. In addition to the performance at the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater, the dance troupe will perform at Issyk-Kul Oblast Music and Drama Theater in Karakol, and they will conduct master classes for dancers in Bishkek, Karakol, and Kara-Balta.
The dance troupe consists of Sean Curran (Art Director), Rebecca Arends, Evan Copeland, Elizabeth Coker Girón, David Gonsier, Tony Guglietti, Shane Dennis Rutkowski, and Rachel Salzman.
