Fare for public transport will rise in Bishkek
Bishkek, April 26 / Kabar /. Fare for public transport will rise in Bishkek starting from May 1, 2012. Deputies of Bishkek City Council took such a decision at today’s session.
Deputy of the Bishkek City Council Valentina Lesnichenko motivated this decision with the fact that today’s fare as fixed in November 2008 and now does not cover costs.
During this period of time price for oil products and spare parts raised significantly. Together with the Bishkek Mayor’s Office we came to one opinion, which will suit both carriers and citizens of the capital", she said.
Thus, the fare in minibuses from 06:00 to 21:00 will be 10 som and in buses and trolleybuses – 8 som, after 21:00 fare in minibuses will be 12 som.
