One more border checkpoint will start working on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border
Astana, May 10 / Kabar /. Border checkpoint "Tegen-Karkara" will start functioning at Kazakh-Kyrgyz state border, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a press conference after the talks with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev.
This control border checkpoint was closed amid unrest, arms and contraband traffic in 2010.
"This checkpoint was shut down because we wanted to ensure the security of our country and ensure control over the situation," President Nazarbayev emphasized.
