Police looking for stolen statue to journalist G. Pavlyuk in Bishkek
Bishkek, May 21 / Kabar /. Monument to journalist Gennady Pavlyuk was stolen on the night May 21.
The police will check all 40 centers of reception of metal in the capital city.
The monument was made of bronze and weighs about 250 kg.
According to the press service of the police department of Bishkek city, the monument to independent journalist in Almaty G. Pavlyuk was erected in the central street of Bishkek, near the library named after K. Bayalinov.
G. Pavlyuk died in December 2009. His body was found near the many-storied house with his hands tied. He was taken to the hospital. But he passed away, not coming out of the coma. The investigation revealed that he was thrown from the window of the sixth floor of the house.
