American All-Star Cowboys to visit Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, May 30 / Kabar /. On May 30, 2012, a group of six American cowboys are arriving to Kyrgyzstan to perform at the Bishkek City Hippodrome on June 2, at 14:00 and at the Cholpon-Ata City Hippodrome, Issyk Kul on June 5, at 16: 00. These men and women, who are all-star athletes in American rodeo, are visiting the Kyrgyz Republic as a part of a tour supported by the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The American cowboys’ performances in Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata will include classic rodeo events such as barrel racing, rough-stock riding, and traditional music. The cowboys will be performing together with Kyrgyz horse riders who will share their experiences in traditional horse games, trick riding, and a demonstration of kok-boru.
This all-star team includes Lewis ‘Lew’ Field, 5x World Champion; Jenna Johnson Henry, Miss Rodeo America Finalist, Equestrian Science Professional, and Miss Rodeo Minnesota; John W. Jones, Jr., 3x World Champion; Shannon Jones, Professional Women’s Rodeo; Cort Sheer, Current Top-Ranked Professional Cowboy; and Marshall Trimble, Hall of Fame Member and Cowboy Poet.
