196 Kyrgyz citizens are in prisons in Kazakhstan
Bishkek, June 11 / Kabar /. 196 Kyrgyz citizens are in prisons in Kazakhstan. Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Almaty Seit Ubukeyev reported today at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh for International Affairs.
According to his data, most of them were convicted for illegal crossing of borders, sale and possession of drugs.
"In 2011 six Kyrgyz citizens were transferred from prisons of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan’s prisons", said S. Ubukeyev. He also added that for violation of immigration laws 157 Kyrgyz citizens were expelled from Kazakhstan
Today Committee of Jogorku Kenesh for International Affairs is listening to the report of Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty for 2011.
