Japan to grant $ 3 mln for purchase of equipment for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, July 3 / Kabar /. The Japanese Government plans to allocate the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan a grant of 3 million dollars for purchase of equipment. Head of the Secretariat of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction Arstanbek Momukulov told today at a press conference at Kabar Agency.
"It is early to say about the exact date of allocating the grant, but the preliminary talks with the Japanese side have been held. Partners are considering this proposal", he said.
A. Momukulov said that the technical park of the Emergency Situations Ministry leaves much to be desired. “In certain emergency situations, especially during winter time, we experience difficulties due to lack of technique. And receiving grant in the near future would be a great support", said the head of the Secretariat.
