Russian-Kyrgyz Dictionary renewed after 55 years
Bishkek, July 10 / Kabar /. A new Russian-Kyrgyz Academic Dictionary in four volumes as well as Russian-Kyrgyz Dictionary of was presented today at the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences.
According to the head of the department of history of language of the National Academy of Sciences Jiydegul Semenova, manuscript of the dictionary was developed back in the 90s.
"We did not have funds for publication of this dictionary. But now, after so many years we have been able to publish this unique book. We added new words and terms that appeared in the 21st century", said J. Semenova.
New Academic Russian-Kyrgyz Dictionary contains 85 thousand words, the Russian-Kyrgyz Dictionary of new foreign language names - 13 thousand words.
The previous dictionary was released in 1957.
