Zakir Tilenov: "Some areas on Afghan-Tajik border, which are not guarded properly threaten the security of Kyrgyzstan"
Bishkek, July 12 / Kabar /. Because of weak guard of some areas on the Afghan-Tajik border there is a security threat to Kyrgyzstan. Commander of Border Troops of the State Committee of National Security Zakir Tilenov told reporters after a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on implementation of activities of the National Strategy and introduction of system of integrated management of the state border.
"Kyrgyzstan borders with Tajikistan and Tajikistan borders with Afghanistan. Today it is no secret that there are now areas on the Afghan-Tajik border, which are not properly guarded. Possible invasion of terrorists and drug dealers, who try to hold weapons and ammunition does not excluded through these areas.
For example, in autumn of 2010 there were developments in the Rash Valley of Tajikistan. And this is just 100 km from our border. But for the trained terrorists 100 km is only 2 days of walking", said Z. Tilenov.
