Bishkek, July 24 / Kabar /. A large quantity of expired meat imported from the US and Argentina found in warehouse of kitchen of Kumtor Operating Company, where about 230 employees of the company were get poisoned on July 17. Chief medical officer of Kyrgyzstan Tolo Isakov told Kabar Agency.
Meat products were imported from the USA and Argentina. "Expiration time has already expired. It is indicated on the labels", said T. Isakov.
He noted that experts of the State Inspection for Sanitary, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security seized 200 kilograms of American and 132 kilograms of Argentinian expired beef.
"Territorial Inspection is preparing materials to submit to the regional prosecutor's office", concluded the chief medical officer of the republic.
The number of people hospitalized because of food poisoning, according to recent data, has reached 92 people.
