FAO plans to open a full-scale office in Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, July 27 / Kabar /. This year the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) plans to open a full-scale office. This decision was taken by FAO headquarters in Rome earlier this month, Olga Grebennikova, public relations expert of the FAO in Kyrgyzstan reports.
At present, about 25 FAO projects have been implementing in Kyrgyzstan in close partnership with the Government.
These projects are aimed at improving the information system in food safety, including the development and introduction of agricultural meteorological prognosis.
In addition, FAO is actively supporting the Government of Kyrgyzstan to develop the National Strategy for Agricultural Development till 2020.
